Vice President Chuck Franklin
Term: 12/02/2022 – 12/06/2026

Chuck Franklin has been a resident of Wrightwood since April of 2011. In August, he joined the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and became a division supervisor by the end of the year.

Chuck graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science Commerce degree. He played professional baseball in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system. After a knee injury, he worked in the
California Angels Baseball Teams front office as assistant to the scouting and farm directors. Chuck was a General Manager for two private ambulance companies, Courtesy Ambulance in the City of San Bernardino, and Desert Valley Medical Transport in Victorville. For both companies he interacted with the San Bernardino Board of Supervisors.

Director Alexis Claiborne
Term: 12/06/2022 – 12/06/2026

Alexis Claiborne has been a resident in Wrightwood off and on since 2001. She moved here full-time in 2019. Alexis enjoys spending time with her fur babies (dogs) and is an avid snowboarder.

Alexis received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from California State University, Northridge. She then went on to complete her M.S. in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University and it currently working on her PhD from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Since beginning her doctoral career, Alexis has become increasingly interested in policy.

Alexis is currently a health educator in San Bernardino and has spent her career serving the public through education and advocacy. She has spent her career working to make other communities better, safer places to live and is hoping to enhance the already incredible community of Wrightwood

Director Kristy Gerardo
Term: 12/06/2022 – 12/06/2026

Kristy Gerardo was born and raised in Ventura, CA. However, Kristy has had ties to the Wrightwood community since 1980 through her Grandparents. She spent many Holidays and Summers up here on the Mountain. Kristy moved to Wrightwood in 2013 with her Husband Ken. Kristy and Ken have two kids, Tianna 24 and Justin 12.

Receiving a full ride scholarship to play D1 softball, Kristy earned her undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Toledo. Some years later, she earned her MBA from Colorado State University.

Professionally, Kristy began her career working in Campaign Management and then for the California State Legislature where she worked as a Legislative Field Representative for the 37 th Assembly District. Since then, and for the last 15 years, Kristy transitioned into retail gas and convenience management and currently manages 125 locations throughout California..
